Mortgage Rates Mixed After Fed Rate HikeMortgage ratesĀ  are mixed after the Federal Reserve increased the fed funds rate yesterday. Overall, average mortgage rates have been moving lower the past three months and should continue moving lower in the coming days. 30 year conforming mortgage rates are now averaging 4.61 percent, an increase from an average 30 year rate of 4.55 percent. Current 15 year mortgage rates today are averaging 3.78 percent, down from an average 15 year rate of 3.83 percent. 30 year jumbo mortgage rates are averaging 4.46 percent, down from 4.51 percent. 15 year jumbo mortgage rates are higher at 4.34 percent, up from 4.30 percent.
